UNVEIL

Unveil represents the challenges one faces as a gender fluid person through the styling and mood.

In collaboration with fashion majors for their Digital Presentations class at SCAD Savannah, we created an ad campaign to go with their lookbook and showcase their gender identity shoot.

LIMBO LIMBO LIMBO

I had wanted to make a music video for a long time, and finally got to do it for a class. The person singing is a close friend, whose voice I got recorded at the sound studio in SCAD HK. We layered that onto an instrumental track and then went out to shoot the video. I included plexus graphics to tell the story that the girl is singing about.

This video was inspired by the lyrics from 'Limbo Limbo Limbo' by Jhené Aiko. From my understanding, the lyrics are telling us about a girl who understands the essence of life, but the world being modern contradicts her reality. I used the plexus graphics to symbolize this 'understanding' she has of life. Stylistically, I love black and white, as well as grungy textures - which explains the locations I chose to shoot in.


SUSHI DREAM

For Compositing for Motion Media, we collaborated to create a surreal dreamlike video about the sushi making process.At SCAD, one of my classes was Compositing for Motion Media. A group of my classmates and I collaborated to create a surreal dreamlike video about making sushi.

VANS

This was a quick class exercise where we were given a brand name, and told to do a 5 second logo animation. I decided to try my hand at cel animation, as I had never done it before. I filmed the footage by myself, incorporating the skateboard feel that VANS is known for. I've uploaded 2 versions with different music. I picked the first because I think it has a cleaner, more professional feel to it. The second one however, I feel relates to the VANS brand more.


MTV

This was a class exercise where we were given a brand, and had to do a quick 5-second logo animation for it. For MTV, I chose to use pop art - Andy Warhol's famous Marilyn Monroe painting. In MTV fashion, I proceeded to glitch and get messy with the image, but in time to the music.


CHANEL EYEWEAR CAMPAIGN

In collaboration with fashion majors for their Digital Presentations class at SCAD Savannah, in which they created an ad campaign influenced by the Chanel Spring/Summer 2016 eyewear campaign.

We partnered up to create the video campaign.
